I BAFTA di quest'anno hanno premiato giustamente "Se mi lasci ti cancello", meno giustamente "Aviator" e prevedibilmente Jamie Foxx per "Ray". Ne esce alla grande anche "Il Segreto di Vera Drake" che è costato poco e niente ed è stato pubblicizzato anche meno ma è riuscito a farsi notare lo stesso, almeno in determinati "ambienti". Grandi sconfitti invece "Harry Potter 3", che nonostante giocasse in casa non è riusciuto a vincere praticamente nulla con le sue 4 nomination, e Neverland: ben 11 nomination e nessun premio.
